How to install HandBrake 0.9.9 video converter in Ubuntu & Co.
This tutorial is going to show beginners how to install the popular handbrake video transcoder in Ubuntu. HandBrake is a general-purpose, free, open-source, cross-platform, multithreaded video transcoder software application.
To get started, press Ctrl+Alt+T to open terminal, then run the commands one by one:
For 32bit:
wget https://launchpad.net/~stebbins/+archive/handbrake-releases/+files/handbrake-gtk_0.9.9ppa1~raring1_i386.deb
For 64Bit:
wget https://launchpad.net/~stebbins/+archive/handbrake-releases/+files/handbrake-gtk_0.9.9ppa1~raring1_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i handbrake-gtk_0.9.9ppa1~raring1_*.deb
If a problem happens while installing, just run the command:
sudo apt-get -f install
Also, if you want the cli as well use in the same way:
wget https://launchpad.net/~stebbins/+archive/handbrake-releases/+files/handbrake-cli_0.9.9ppa1~raring1_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i handbrake-cli_0.9.9ppa1~raring1_*.deb
